  •    Our Definition

Changes include anything that may potentially affect the delivery of IT services. This includes all hardware, software, environment, network and third party services. There is a difference between ‘production, development & test’ environments and the processes for managing change are also unique. Managing all change activities from concept to completion fall under Change Management.

     Effect of Implementation

    • Controlling the changes will control the problems. 85% of all incidents & problems are caused by changes being implemented. (Gartner & others)
    • Change control allows standards to be enforced
    • Change control indicates what changes fix what problems or caused what problems
    • Operating costs will immediately start to diminish and Availability numbers will increase within a short time period.
